Acronis True Image Home 2014 Review
Acronis True Image 2014 is a program introduced by a well known company Acronis and this program is treated as the most powerful and feature-rich imaging/backup program in the current market. Without any hiccup True Image Home handles bare-metal restore and diverse hardware. The one thing which makes it outstanding is how friendly it is with the new online service and new interface. The Acronis Backup for the first time takes you to the cloud. The poorly rendered dialogs and oddly phrased instructions are gone and the interface is clean, efficient, and simple as it enables to perform a backup without answering a confusing stream of unrelated questions. It has all the options which a advanced users will look for like password protection, validation sector-by-sector back up, pre and post run commands and splitting of files. These all are simply hidden perfectly in a very cleanly organized dialog for better performance. If you think Windows has covered you with its own imaging/system backup but still there is a genuine need for programs such as Acronis True Image Home 2014 because in Windows built-in utility reacts badly to new hardware and is extremely limited.
True Image Home 2014 can perform various functions like file and image backups, one-off backups, differential, incremental, scheduling, notifications, multiple tracked backups and many more. I can surely say there is no imaging trick that this program doesn't have in it. For instance, if your laptop lacks a boot-time recovery option then True Image will provide you. The options like Try and Decide options and SecureZone are still available in it. It also has a full list of secure erase options and you can even convert Windows backups to Acronis's format and vice-versa very easily.
As you all know every imaging or backup program should feature the ability to create disaster recovery boot media in both CD and USB flash drive, this program has R-Drive Image to solve the above mentioned issue very easily. The True Image Home 2014's rescue disc still requires 512MB of system memory and it less friendly that the Windows user interface but Acronis provides the relevant mean for adding it to a Windows PE boot disc all though it is not as simple a process.
True Image Home 2014 version is very user friendly and well worth for a look. If you are new to backup products, than Acronis True Image is perfect for you by judging the features of the software and it blows away the competition. If you compare with highly-focused disk-imaging apps like ShadowProtect Desktop, TrueImage Home performs every backup and restore task you can imagine and it also does image backups of whole disks and partitions, non-stop backups of every change that you make to a specific file or folder or group of files and file backups of individual folders and files. Acronis True Image 2014 comes with a multitude of additional tools like management utility for Windows built-in boot manager and a proprietary Acronis boot manager, a proprietary "recovery zone" that TrueImage can use when you can't boot to Windows. It also includes folder synchronization tools. It can also send backup files via e-mail and also offers its own cloud-based storage system, Acronis Cloud, with 5 GB of free storage. True Image Home has all the features you need and a trusted friend for data imaging or backup.
